  • Years of Experience & Areas of Specialization: Samantha has over 5 years of counseling experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Samantha has experience in community-based counseling, in-home child and family therapy, and inpatient individual and group therapy. She works with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, mood dysregulation, relationship and familial issues, behavioral issues, trauma, and LGBTQ+ concerns. She is certified in EMDR.

  • Credentials: Doctorate of Philosophy in School Counseling (PhD), Licensed Psychological Associate, and Certified School Psychologist.
  • Years of Experience & Areas of Specialization: Over 2 years in private practice, three years working in schools. Specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Mindfulness.  Works with children, adolescents, and adults providing therapy and psychological assessment.  ADHD, Autism, Placement, Education, Mental Health psychological assessment and testing.

  • Years of Experience & Areas of Specialization: Julie has over 5 years of experience helping clients work through trauma.  Certified DBT and CT therapist.
  • Therapeutic Philosophy: Julie uses a strengths-based perspective along with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to embrace the inherent messiness of working through struggle.

  • Years of Experience & Areas of Specialization: Anna has over 20 years of experience helping clients with ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, Emotional Dysregulation within family systems and the school environment with special knowledge in 504 accommodations and IEP processes.
  • Therapeutic Philosophy: She utilizes a systems-based approach through cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), along with other evidence practices to help clients develop a strong repertoire of coping skills to navigate and overcome obstacles throughout their lives.

  • Years of Experience & Areas of Specialization: Has over 10 years of experience helping clients in settings such as Behavioral Psychiatric (hospital), Community, and School. She also has 2 years of experience working with the National Crisis Hotline. Cheley specializes in ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Emotional Dysregulation, Conduct Disorder, Mood disorders, trauma-informed care, child-focused family therapy, and athletes. Also, knowledge and experience with 504s and IEPs.

What are the costs associated with counseling, and do you accept insurance?

Counseling costs vary depending on the specific service and counselor. We accept many major insurance plans. We currently accept BCBC, Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Medcost. We have several therapists who are in-network with Tricare. We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare. 

Please contact us to check whether we are in-network with your provider. If we are not in-network, we can provide a receipt for out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your insurance benefits.

How quickly can I schedule an appointment in Raleigh?

We strive to schedule appointments promptly. Depending on your therapist of choice, you can usually expect to start within 1 week. Reach out to us to arrange your first free consultation session.
